Organizational Structure

Board of Directors
Each year a 17 to 19-member board of directors is elected by the association’s membership.  The board is made up of members from varying geographic areas in Texas; as well as, members from each of the different membership categories.  The board’s primary responsibility is to establish priorities and goals of the association.

Texas Produce Export Association
This group coordinates the promotion and marketing of Texas Citrus in foreign countries.

Texas Valley Citrus Committee
TPA manages the Texas Valley Citrus Committee, a federal marketing order regulating the orderly distribution of oranges and grapefruit and provides the industry funds to promote Texas citrus.

Transportation Division
This division was created in 2004 in recognition of the key role truckers and other transporters play in the fresh fruit and vegetable industry.  The division has, and will continue to focus on such matters as hours of service regulations, truck scheduling, onloading and offloading, general availability, and numerous other issues that come up- between shippers and transporters.  The chairman of the division automatically has a seat on the Board of Directors.
